NRG Meeting

National Representatives Group

The National Representatives Group are officially nominated experts from each Member State that acts as a steering group for the activities related to the coordination of digitisation policies and programmes. Founded in 2001 on invitation of the European Commission, the NRG meets every six months.

Placing special emphasis on cultural and scientific resources and the contribution of public cultural institution, the aim of the NRG is to share national experiences and to create a common platform for cooperation and coordination of national activities across the European Union, while monitoring progress regarding the objectives encapsulated in the Lund Principles.

The 10th meeting of the National Representatives Group is taking place on 23 June 2006 in Salzburg under the Austrian EU-presidency. The meeting will focus on the implementation of the Dynamic Action Plan and related initiatives of the European Union to make digital cultural and scientific resources better accessible and preserve them for future generations.
